"IS -1" (fig.1) is intended to create a network of autonomous sites of collecting, processing and transmitting of information from various geophysical sensors to the central site.

The station has been applied at the measuring network of electromagnetic monitoring of the Earth's crust by transient electromagnetic method (TEM) carried out at Bishkek test site. In 1993, we launched an experimental network that was based on such stations and consisted of five autonomous measuring sites (Chon-Kurchak, Tash-Bashat, Besh-Kungei, Chumysh, Shamsi) and of central site of data collection located in the territory of the Research Station.  Data received from these sites was used for the structural analysis of the Earth’s crust and for the construction of time series of changes in apparent resistance of rocks at observation sites.

Autonomy is a distinctive feature of the IS-1 measuring station. It can be used at non-attended measuring sites being connected to the site of data collection through radiotelemetry channel. It is possible to launch a network of such measuring sites of multiangular beam structure. The structure of measuring station hardware component and specially made software enables to change the network configuration.

The invention is covered by the following patent and the inventor’s certificates of utility model:
