A two-volume edition containing annotations and extended theses of papers of the Fifth International Symposium “Modern Problems of Geodynamics and Geoecology of Intracontinental Orogens” traditionally held in Bishkek on the base of the International Geodynamic Research Center (IGRC) and the Research Station RAS has been published.

Participants from different countries including Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, USA and Tajikistan presented their materials covering major research areas in modern geodynamics, geophysical and seismic monitoring, as well as assessment of seismic risk.
